Message to Parents RE: Wednesday September 6th

Hi Again Parents,

It was great to see everyone on our first day back for the 2017/2018 school year.  For tomorrow (Wednesday September 6th), we would like all students to again return to the same classroom they were in for the first day.

As a reminder:

  • Grade 1 students from Mrs. Gartrell's class will go to Mrs. Thomson's class (A2)
  • Grade 1 students from Mrs. Hyslop's class will go to Mrs. Shantz' room (D3)
  • Grade 1 students from Mrs. Rozsmann's class will go back to their classroom (B1) with TTOC Ms. Randhawa.

New students to Parkcrest should return again to the library in the morning and they will be put in classes with their age group peers by recess.

PLEASE NOTE, ANY CLASS PLACEMENTS ARE STILL TEMPORARY AS WE WORK THROUGH THE FIRST WEEK.  YOUR PATIENCE AND YOUR CHILD'S PATIENCE IS GREATLY APPRECIATED.

FURTHER, WEDNESDAY IS A FULL SCHOOL DAY.  THE WARNING BELL WILL GO AT 8:20 AND WE WILL BE IN SESSION UNTIL 2:30.

Further to this, we would request in the following days to come (Wednesday - Friday) that you make arrangements with your children to meet outside somewhere on the school grounds after school.  We as a staff recognize the excitement of the first few days back, along with the nervous anticipation that many of your children have.  However, the learning environment and the needs of our students (your children) are further supported if you could make such arrangements.  Once the students are settled, we will be setting up areas where your children will line up to enter the school in the morning as they will be met and greeted warmly by their teachers.

Thank you, we as a staff at Parkcrest are looking forward to a fantastic year,

Grant Naylor

Vice Principal
